I can imagine the preprint indicating the manufacturer's address, etc., a logo, the brand, type of product, etc., and the label indicating the weight of the item, the best-before date, packaging date, etc. The machine will need indexing on the film so that the preprinted text/image is centred on the product and the tube is sealed and sliced in the "gaps" between the printed parts, not across them. I have a funny feeling this question has come up before, some years back, but of course it would have disappeared from the ProZ archives.
