La expresión "emisiones climáticas" sí existe en textos medioambientales y se refiere a las emisiones nocivas que producen efectos adversos en el clima.
Quizá en español no tiene mucho sentido si esta expresión se encuentra fuera de contexto.

Traducirlo muy literal puede llevar a confusiones, como suponer que los bosques por sí mismos producen las emisiones dañinas. Lo que realmente produce las emisiones es la deforestación o tala indiscriminada de bosques.
