German term or phrase: Hier tobt das wahre Leben!
Flyer for courses at a Fachhochschule
There is nothing really in the flyers to indicate what the term means. I understand “tobt” is used in the sense of a great deal going on, a hive of activity. I’d thought of “for a rich social and academic life” but not sure if it captures what the phrase is intended to convey.

Damian is spot on - you're going to need to transcreate, not just translate. Talk to them about their ideas and also look at any imagery near the title that you could reflect upon.

Welcome to the real world could have two meanings - welcome to your post-secondary-school life, away from parents, starting a new phase of life as a student. Plus the presumed reference to the FH as being more practically oriented.

Some other brainstorming ideas: feet firmly on the ground, head start on real life, get your hands on real life, try your hand at real life, place to get your hands dirty, etc.
