I know that "logique métier" is business logic, "service métiere is business service, but can I say "connaissance métiere is business knowledge?

The original text is a good example of jargonic French. It should read "la connaissance du métier dans les entreprises..". The concept is that in companies, professional expertise (in IT) is essentially in the hands of mainframe computer specialists
