Russian term

Литературу о нем см. : Г.Подскальски

Russian to English Social Sciences Religion
Is there a preposition missing before the first word?

This is a footnote.

Для изучения повседневной миссионерской практики полезно обратить внимание на те вопросы, которые задают митрополиту Руси греку Иоанну II (20)

(20) Литературу о нем см. : Г.Подскальски

Thanks!

Библиографию см. : Г.Подскальски
Angela Greenfield Jan 21, 2010:
I've seen quite often the word литература (which is always single) used in plural: e.g. В литературах часто упоминается его имя. Meaning that his name is often mentioned in books or publications. So I think in your case it's a variation of the same.
Angela Greenfield Jan 21, 2010:
я бы так перефразировала Информацию о нем см. в публикации Г.Подскальски
или: Более подробно о нем см. в книгах Г.Подскальски
Deborah Hoffman (asker) Jan 21, 2010:
ah how would you phrase it? I guess I would have expected См. литературу or something else to explain the vinitel'nyi padezh
Angela Greenfield Jan 21, 2010:
Deborah, Your Russian sentence is not quite correct, but is not missing anything. The word "literature" is used here in the meaning of "information" or "writings". So basically what it means is: "See so-and-so for more information". Or "So-and-so wrote about John II"
