Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): SJLD, Chris Hall

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Chris Hall Jan 16, 2010:
Two suggestions... without constraints
without limitations - either one works fine.

it's "réalise ses sauvegardes sans contraintes sur disque SATA...." very likely

External SATA drive are really great you plug them in and save to them without having to do anything else.
Travelin Ann Jan 15, 2010:
Something like "trayless hot-swappable SATA drive"

Tegan Raleigh (asker) Jan 15, 2010:
It is the "sans contraintes" part in particular that has me stumped.

French term (edited): sans contraintes

without limitations

I don't *think* they're referring to anything terribly specific here. They just mean you can perform on-the-fly backups without limitations/constraints in a general sense.

Does any of the rest of the text refer to specific limitations of other systems, for example?

You could of course also opt for "limitless", though in English this tends to imply frequency/number, rather than referring to other limitations.

I would cut to the chase and say It allows him to save easily his files to SATA drives. Bada bing bada boom.

Something that has constraints attached to it is not easy to do, you get my drift.
