OK, here's one for you. An Italian version of a website calls this section of their services "beauty farm" (title of page and throughout the text)
Now to me, this isn't the most elegant solution. I'd prefer spa (or any other description for that matter!) even if there aren't any springs (hot or cold) involved.
Any ideas for alternatives? Am I just being overly sensitive?

plenty of these about I think, if this is the type where you go and stay rather than just going for a couple of hours for a manicure or something. 'Spa' as you say implies something fairly specific which may or may not be relevant depending on the context.

Resort, spa, retreat, and center all work. Usage is quite fluid.
High end retreats increasing refer to themselves as 'farms' of varying kinds. There are diet retreats, which are openly called fat farms for example. The farm moniker actually often carries a high price tag, and so is meant to be "whimsical" or "charming." (I don't think being charged a lot of money is either!)
In the US at least, spa increasingly refers to the massage and bath area of a larger complex, so that you will see references to spa resorts, for example, or, to the contrary, spas setting up shop in urban settings as if they were a kind of massage parlor. In other words, the spa more and more refers to the place where you are specifically being pampered.
So here it is 'more' than just a spa, even though that is probably 90% of what you're getting. It probably extends to the silly and expensive food they want to feed you, and so on.
