como puedo definir capable de acuerdo al sgte contexto:

capaz, capacitado, hábil no me suenan porque son cualidades de personas y no de autos.

Mira, que se me ocurrió otra palabra que se usa mucho, aunque no sea una traducción literal de la palabra que usan en inglés, pero dentro de lo que cabe, hasta puede sonar bien ;-)

Explanation:
capaz can also be applied to machinery and vehicles

Moreover, the term capable in the US refers to various elements including load capacity, horsepower, seating cap., etc. It does not refer to fuel efficiency or engine power only hence i'd suggest "capaz" as the most comprehensive term

Additional note: if you're translating for a spanish audience i'd suggest "conducir" instead of manejar
