this is consistent with the numbers 1, 2, 3... ... I'm pretty sure this is it. It means how often the student has tried to pass

It has to refer to a single word - number of class or credits or course should be NC. /Nc./ would indicate a single word.

The transcript comes from Spain, the University of Valencia. Some words, I think, might be Castellano, some Valenciano. I keep looking through things on the University website but in vain so far.

but doesn't make sense to me, in this context is "not classified." Sometimes appears as NEC (not elsewhere classified).
My best suggestion would be to ask the client. What is the origin country of the transcript? I've translated many transcripts, and this one is a new one on me - wish I could be of more help.

I have five pages of the transcript and all of them have *Nc.* so I am afraid it is not a typo.

maybe a bad copy? So that the "o" of No. appears to be a "c"?
That makes more sense than anything else I can think of.

The column has numbers: 01, 02, 00 and it follows the column with exam dates and precedes the observations column.

Asker: Thank you for your answers but the transcript looks almost excellent to think that exams might have been taken several times. As for the class number, I think it would look like Clase No. or something like that. I am still not sure about this shortened version of a bigger word.

I came across this abbreviation last year in a student record I had to translate into English, also from the University of Valencia, and finally I gave up and left it untranslated. However, I was lucky that in my case all the numbers were 1, so there wasn't much information there really.
