This phrase comes up in a description of a research center where a clinical trial is taking place. The facility is described in this way:
"Il Centro xxx e' una struttura specialistica di riferimento che svolge attivita' clinica e di ricerca scientifica ."
Non so cosa vuol' dire 'di riferimento' in questo caso e come si dovrebbe dire 'struttura di riferimento in inglese ( "... facility"). Grazie per l'aiuto!
