Nedaplatin Explanation: There are four types of alkylating-like platinum antineoplastic compounds: Carboplatin, Cisplatin, Nedaplatin, Oxaliplatin, Triplatin tetranitrate, Satraplatin--I believe 得那铂, or more accurately, 奈达铂, to be Nedaplatin, unless 得那铂 is a new platinum compound -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2009-08-27 16:40:23 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- but 得那铂 as a new platinum compound is relatively unheard of (do a Google search); I would suggest 得那铂 to be another name for 奈达铂; indeed the similarity of the phonemes [ne] and [da] in the two terms makes it more probable that they are one and the same platinum compound. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2009-08-27 17:01:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Would it be possible for you to copy and paste the chemical formula? This will assist in identifying the formal name of the compound. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2009-08-27 17:06:40 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I believe you are looking at this link? http://chemyq.com/patentfmen/pt84/839557_63151.htm The text also mentions omaplatin and heptylplatin, both of which I have never heard before in my life. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2009-08-27 17:15:39 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I think the text may be ridden with punctuation errors--"omaplatin" should be "ormaplatin", formerly tetraplatin; in the same line the text mentioned "neidaplatin" which should have been nedaplatin, or my supposed answer to your question. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2009-08-27 17:18:10 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The text mentions: "The anticancer effective component includes platinum compound selected from heptylplatin, loplatin, neidaplatin, oxaliplatin, denaplatin or enloplatin" Note the use of the OR. This means denaplatin=enloplatin. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2009-08-27 17:22:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- But this may be mere speculation; the author wrote incomprehensibly. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2009-08-27 17:24:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This is as much as I can do; I will leave it to others to answer your question. I still stand by mine in the meanwhile. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 hrs (2009-08-27 17:27:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I would agree with you then. I don't have the source text with me. I hope others will take a jab at this after me. Good luck with this very difficult case! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 days (2009-08-31 15:25:50 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Thank you for choosing mine as the best answer. I am curious as to what you used in your translation. Could you share your answer with me? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 days (2009-08-31 17:23:32 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Glad I could help Shirely, Happy Translating!
