I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's degree in Terminology. In addition, I completed an e-course on Localisation and another online course on Localization Engineering.
Moreover, I attended the 3-webinar Linguistic Validation series. These three webinars include: “Introduction to Patient-Related Outcome Instruments (PROs)”, “Linguistic Validation of Patient-Related Outcome Instruments”, and “Patient Cognitive Interviews in Linguistic Validation of PROs”.
Other than the aforementioned, I also completed a course module entitled "Translation in Practice" from the Open University in the UK.
My working languages are English and Chinese only. As far as these two languages are concerned, I translate both into and from Traditional Chinese (that is, in two directions); however, I translate from Simplified Chinese only but not into Simplified Chinese (that is, in only one direction). In short, I am a native Traditional Chinese user (in writing) but a native Cantonese speaker.
My services advertised on this profile page are translation, proofreading and editing. Nonetheless, please note that language instruction (and training) and interpretation (focus groups inclusively) are NOT one of the services mentioned on this profile page.
In summary, I have been a full-time independent freelancer for more than ten years and am available for both short-term and long-term project-based work.
