summons

Explanation:
varía entre los países; muchos dicen "citación del acusado" o "orden de comparecencia"
Si es la orden judicial escrita exigiendo la comparecencia de un inculpado es lo que en los EEUU decimos "summons"
nota bene: not to be confused with "subpoena"

Terms of the subpoena

Explanation:
Since the legal systems of the English speaking countries and the Spanish speaking countries differ slightly in some areas and considerably in others, on comes across these issues from time to time.

Nevertheless, the meaning of the Spanish version is comparable to the same court mandated action, in this case for the respondent also known as the defendant, depending on the Style of the Case.

That´s "appear at court" or "appear before the court"

--------------------------------------------------

In the US and the UK I have not found reliable specific terminology for the phrase that identifies the time limit available to the respondent to answer the suit filed against him or her. The court usually allows between 20 and 30 days for a response to the legal action to be filed with the court by the respondent defendant.

I do know that the court has ample discretion to announce a time limit or deadline and always does. In civil court said limit is usually not more than 30 days after the date of service. Said date of service is the date upon which the respondent (or defendant) is deemed to have been duly notified in witing of the obligation to appear at court.

The respondent is allowed to file for an extension of this period (often called an "enlargement") if unready, unrepresented, etc.

Paul García is correct again. Summons y subpoena are not the same and I should ammend my answer from the one to the other. Summons is correct. So, Terms of the summons is my choice and was inserted, early on by Maru Villanueva above.

statutory date of appearance before the Court

Explanation:
The word "plazo" does not literally translate in this context. For contracts this word works as "term", but regarding summons/subpoenas, a plazo would be otherwise translated. Since this time period is specified by law, then it is statutory. The opposite would be to issue a summons/subpoena that mandates some specific date to appear, usually according to a court's docket/schedule.
