French term
dégustation en clair
French to English
Other
Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
Context: "Dans une comparaison entre dégustations à l’aveugle et en clair de vins de terroir, X note l’absence de significativité des résultats de dégustation à l’aveugle, tandis que ceux de la dégustation en clair sont précis et discriminants."
I know "dégustation en aveugle" is "blind tasting", but I simply can't manage to find an equivalent expression for "en clair": "non-blind"? "open"? "sighted"? I still haven't found any clear articles confirming one or the other. I would be much obliged for anyone's help on this matter.

non-blind tasting
I know it's horrible. But I worked with wine for years and organized wine tastings (for the family importing business, the Sopexa régie and many others), and the only term I have ever heard in the US is non-blind tasting. I don't know if other terms are used in other countries. Sorry.
You should be able to easily confirm "non-blind tasting" by googling the term.

unveiled tasting
It's just that I'm often not a fan of the "non-" technique.
