lactiferous sinus


Explanation:
As I said in the previous question, the breast is made up, from the gross anatomy point of view, of milk (lactiferous) ducts, lactiferous sinuses (which modern techniques have shown us do not in fact exist), glandular tissue, adipose (fatty) tissue, connective tissue and chest muscles.

As I said, new research shows us that the lactiferous sinuses do not in fact exist (they were a result of old anatomic studies) , however many texts still carry the old terms and drawings.
