Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s)
French term or phrase: exposé préalable
This is from a short agreement between a law firm and its client regarding a specific case and is under the clause headed "Interprétation":

"Toutes les clauses et conditions du présent contrat en ce compris l'exposé préalable et les annexes éventuelles qui en font partie intégrante sont de rigueur".

Please note that there are no whereas/recital clauses in the agreement, so it cannot be referring to those. However the agreement does "formalise des relations de travail anciennes de plusieurs mois sur le dossier en objet", so I suspect that this phrase may be (indirectly)referring to this and could mean a previous presentation/paper, but I am not sure of this.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

recitals
Explanation:
I would say that it is a standard phrase tht has been included in the agreement even though there are no recitals - may be worth checking with the client

I suspect that this is the most likely answer, even though, per my posting, I ruled this out initially.
