ma non potrebbe essere "dump" anziché "bump"?

Esiste la funzione "Save Dump" per registrazione di un evento in caso di blocco del sistema, e qui "potrebbe" (nota le virgolette) trattarsi di registrazione dei messaggi in corso al momento del blocco? Riporto dal sito sotto: (e altre info nella pagina citata nel testo stesso)

È possibile configurare Windows NT 4.0 e Windows 2000 in modo che nel registro eventi venga scritto un evento in corrispondenza di un'eccezione irreversibile della modalità kernel (errore Stop). Per impostazione predefinita, in Windows 2000 Professional e Windows NT 4.0 Workstation non viene generato alcun evento. I prodotti server, invece, sono configurati per la generazione di un evento.

L'ID dell'evento generato è 1001, mentre l'origine è "Save Dump".

Over Your Mail Server Quota? ***Bump it Up!***
LTS now offers a do-it-yourself temporary quota increase, available from the account page (http://www.lehigh.edu/account) Users having problems receiving and/or reading email because their Mail Server (aka Network Server) disk usage has approached or exceeded the allowed quota, can now choose ***"bump quota"*** on the account page to increase their quota for 4 hours. Users can bump their quota only once per 4-hour period. During that time users should take steps to reduce their quota by deleting unneeded mail messages, expunging (purge/compact/etc.) folders to permanently remove deleted messages, emptying trash, removing obsolete mail folders, and removing old network server files. For help with the cleanup process, contact the Help Desk at 8-HELP (4357).

To lessen the chance of damage from ***things that go bump on the net*** never open email attachments from people you don’t know. Text files are okay but even an HTML document can carry a nasty payload. Make sure that you are using the latest virus, security patches and updates for your servers, gateways, e-mail clients and security-related software. Use a firewall and filters to scan incoming mail attachments and have a disaster recovery plan in place so you can revert to clean backed-up data if damage is done.
