I think this is the love of a couple, not necessarily marital, as opposed to love such as family love.

There are other types of love besides that which occurs within two people AS a couple, including the love that occurs in friendship, the love of a parent for a child or of a child for a parent, and even the love (abstract) of an individual for concepts such as homeland. Couple's love usually involves some type of 'romantic' aspect, not necessarily sexual or conjugal.
