When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

If "les suites" simply means a time period and does not refer to any special "event" (development of a complication for example), then you should just use "after an infarct" or "following an infarct".

: Sue, if I follow your "logic", then sequelae would have been "séquelle" in the FR doc; not "suites" IMHO, "suite" is used since it might encompass physical problems. But only the asker knows about//I fully agree w/ u about the lack of context -)

In that case "consequences" is wrong too - it would be best translated simply by "after/following a MI"/who knows? I'm not wasting any more time on a question with no context - as the saying goes: GIGO garbage in garbage out. Now I'm off to Paris!

: i've just seen a sentence: 'les suites de cette intervention ont ete simples'. Anyone got thoughts on how to translate this? "There were no complications" seems likely to me but not 100% sure.

Exemple:
http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=19254436
Titre EN: Abnormalities of glucose tolerance during the suites of myocardial infarctus
Autre exemple:
http://www.biologiereseauxsante.com/2008/index.php?option=co...
Autre exemple:
www.pifo.uvsq.fr/hebergement/cec_mv/197.pdf

: Completely agree Lionel. It is not possible to answer without more context and sequel/consequences are too restrictive. It could be treatment too.
