Est-ce que j'ai raison si je pense que ce n'est pas "appelée" en sens d'"appeal"? Plutôt "appelée pour etre plaidée" ou qch comme ça?

The case was brought and tried ...
Explanation:
Hello,

This is the a very common way of saying this in English legalese.

appelée = brought to court
plaidée = tried in court

It has nothing to do with "appealing" for "appelée"

à l'audience = in the court of (or courtroom of)??

I hope this helps.

The case was summoned and pleaded to ....

Explanation:
I agree that "appelée" does not mean appealed here, but "called" or "summoned."
