Comment said by a psychology researcher about people's reactions to his psychological test.

CONTEXT
After rejecting the test, the person writes back a few months later to tell us that she understood the aim of our test, after all. This makes my day, I can ride this for months because this is an initial reaction that is a rejection of the test and what it means.

I do not quite get the exact sense of this "ride this" expression.
