English term or phrase: stoked to go shred
A jury member of a short film festival about ski explains his choice:

For judge xxxx it came down to his gut feelings, "I felt that “yyy” had that over all good feeling. It’s the one that got me really stoked to go shred!"

I do not understand the last chunk of the sentence, could anyone reword/explain it for me?

Thanks in advance for your help!

agree  Derek Gill Franßen: Good references... coming from Utah, we used "shred" for either, i.e., snowboarding or skiing aggresively, though that type of slang is more prevalent among the (usually younger) snowboarders. =)

agree  jccantrell: I agree with Derek, have only heard shred in connection with snowboards. But, then again, I am a registered OF!
