Reč "circuit" u mašinstvu se često prevodi kao "krug", npr. "dvokružni upravljački sistem" (2-circuit steering system) ili "četvorokružni zaštitni ventil" (4-circuit protecttion valve"). To znači da radni fluid može da se kreće kroz više odvojenih putanja ili "krugova".

Mislim da bi ovde moglo da se kaže "kraći put" (ako postoje 2 voda) ili "najkrači put" (ako ih ima više od 2). Najslobodniji prevod bi bio "linija manjeg otpora" ili "linija najmanjeg otpora".
