My version so far is,

but I'm not entirely happy with it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Confused The more I look at this the more confused I get. Contrato de compromiso = A promise to produce a contract which might make it a tender/precontract document or compromiso de capacidad which may mean a number of things depending on the meaning of 'capacidad' . Not sure it means capacity in this case, could it mean capability/ competence in the sense of expertise? Not Electricity capacity.
Maybe I am reading too much into it

Creo que no es necesario traducir todas las palabras, ya que se sobreentiende que se trata de un contrato donde se compromete una cierta capacidad de generación.
En cuanto a la pregunta, me parece que se refiere solamente a la primera parte del título.

Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

The client who signs such contract or agreement, wants o be able to purchase a certain power output, whenever it needs. I have been working in the energy and NCRE sectors for five years now, and I have had to translate several PPAs, so I am pretty adamant on this.
Example sentence:

SunEdison and BHP Billitong signed a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) to ensure the energy supply of Escondida.
