Spanish term or phrase: Gran Unidad Escolar
A certain type of school or high school (or both?) in Peru is called a "Gran Unidad Escolar" (GUE).

If a common translation for this exists, I would be happy to know it, but I at least need an explanation of how the GUE is different from other schools.
