Interestingly enough, in the end, I saw the form itself and how "cuerpo" was used -- it was part of the form title on both sides of the sheet and could only be translated as "Side 1" and "Side 2" [or possibly "front" and "back"]. But who could have known? "Part" and "section" would seem intuitive and logical. On this form there are sections, but "Cuerpo" does not define them -- clearly it defines only the side of the form. In fact, the top of Side 2 is actually a continuation of the "section" at the bottom of Side 1. It's hard to understand why the writer of the document I was translating even mentioned "cuerpo 1" and "cuerpo 2" because these terms have no meaning other than the side of the form -- and both sides have to be filled out (it isn't that one side or the other wouldn't be applicable in all cases). Just thought you might like to know what I found out. Thanks for your help. L. |
