Thank you old friend

Non-PRO English to Serbian Other
Sorry, my Serbian is very rusty and I'm not so hot on adjectival agreemenets etc, as you can see. My best stab at it is:

Hvala stari drug!

agree Said Kaljanac a.k.a. SARAJ : another possibility: "Hvala stari druze" or "Őâŕëŕ ńňŕđč ďđčĽŕňĺšó", "őâŕëŕ ńňŕđč äđóćĺ"

Hvala ti, stari druze.

The other possibility ("Hvala ti, stari prijatelju.") is fine, but I think this one is more colloquial. Actually, both are ok.

Now, I see Saraj has already offered this as a possiblity. Good luck.

hvala, stari druze

your version, only gramatically correct
'drug' is less formal than 'prijatelj'
If continuing this sentence, you can also say: druze, hvala za(for.....- word order is not so strict in Serbian as in English)
Hope this helps
