Delirierend infantil, großspurig im XXL-Format, grotesk und voll bösen Humors – so zeigt sich das Werk dieses einflussstarken Künstlers.

very influential
I think it is simply that. I don't think we say 'strongly influential', so 'very' or 'extremely' or some such variant would do.

In light of Michael's comments, maybe 'powerfully influential' would be sufficiently unusual yet retain the meaning of the source.

: This would be a perfect translation for "einflussREICH". "Einflussstark", however, sounds somewhat "stronger", more "extraordinary" to my ears. IMHO this should be maintained in the translation, if possible. /// See discussion entry.

Perhaps you didn't read that I also suggested 'extremely' influential?/Powerfully influential? It would make the reader sit up, at least.

Lonnie Legg
: Considered "powerfully influential" myself--and rejected it. 2 reasons: -stark here is really the same as -reich (perhaps author just wanted to use something less worn-out). Powerfully infl. (i.e.: "mächtig einflussreich") would probably be overdoing it.)

definitively influential
If the context suggests that his influence was authoritative or lasting this one might fit.
definitive: decisive, with authority
definitive: decisive, with authority
Example sentence:
One of many bands who can be said to be definitively influential.
1 day 2 hrs
(the characteristics that make...) this artist such a forceful influence (on the scene, etc.)
Rephrasing might open the field for the stronger connotation of einflussSTARK as noted by Michael.
