I checked ***rogante*** and ***autenticare*** in the Proz glossary but there doesn't seem to be a clear difference between the two terms.

Hard to find the difference: it might be that the first is the notary who draws up a notarial act, whereas the second is the notary who attests or affirms the legality and veracity of an existing instrument.

I don't think notary is an accurate equivalent here.

Example sentence(s):
