Det har dukket opp noe dansk på sidene mine. Er det noen som vet hva ordene ovenfor er og betyr på engelsk? Setning:
"Desuden beklager patienten sig over mange-årige gener med "grus i øjnene" og ......" ¨"....da hun mente, generne måtte skyldes dårligt tilpassede briller".
Takk for hjelpen!

Genes are to blame for the glasses she's using though :) And "grus i øjnene" and dry eyes seems to be the feeling and symptoms of some kind of syndrome called Sjøgrens syndrom which bad genes are responsible for :)

"gener" means <genes> and "generne" means <the genes>, but as you point out it simply doesn't seem to make sense. Could "gener" be used here as some sort of slang/jargon for generic glasses - i.e. the type that you buy at the supermarket and that aren't specifically tailored by an optometrist to suit your particular needs.
