rudding bands Explanation: Bottazzo (Rudding bands) - Detto anche bottaccio, è quel rigonfiamento che circonda lo scafo, riportato sul fasciame esterno e raccordato in modo decrescente verso prua e verso poppa e ha come scopo principale quello di migliorare la stabilità dello scafo già costruito, aumentandone l'altezza metacentrica.
