Italian term
preposto
Italian to English
Bus/Financial
From a Chamber of Commerce certificate:
"Titolari di cariche o qualifiche:
- Preposto nominato il 8/4/1991"
Is it some sort of general manager? It can't be chairman, director or managing director as they're mentioned separately further on in the text.

responsible for
_Preposto_ simply means in charge of/someone who was appointed
It's not a sort of general manager, no chairman, no managing director
It only assumes a special meaning in a religious context.

president/director/executive officer
from what I can make out, this is a fairly old fashioned term used to describe someone employed in an official capacity (at executive level)

rappresentative
I'm guessing, though.
In effetti sembra essere una figura alternativa al 'rappresentante legale', come questi ha potere di firma, di rappresentanza (anche in giudizio) e, se non ricordo male, può avere anche incarichi di gestione del personale.
Da qui a tradurlo...
