Veja a foto no segundo link abaixo. A wine press is a device used to extract juice from crushed grapes during wine making. There are a number of different styles of presses that are used by wine makers but their overall functionality is the same. Each style of press exerts controlled pressure in order to free the juice from the fruit (most often grapes). The pressure must be controlled, especially with grapes, in order to avoid crushing the seeds and release a great deal of undesirable tannins into the wine.[1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_press Este ‘lagar robótico’ é constituído por um tanque pouco profundo em aço inoxidável equipado com pistões mecânicos para pisar uvas cujos movimentos suaves reproduzem com exactidão a acção dos pés humanos, sendo de facto as uvas pisadas contra o chão do tanque, ao contrário de outros métodos recentemente introduzidos no Douro, que simplesmente empurram a ‘manta’ na direcção do mosto. http://www.dows-port.com/pt/content.asp?content=WineMaking&i... cap (of a fermentation tank) Explanation: “Manta: The 'cap' of grape skins and seeds which rises to the top of fermenting grape juice.” http://www.bar-do-binho.com/help.htm The quote marks around 'cap' are not necessary - it's a well-known term. |
