Hola, iba bien en la traducción de un texto sobre acreditación de hoteles que respeten y cuiden el m/ambiente, hasta que encontré este término: guest night. Se me ocurre que sea huésped pasajero (que no va a permanecer mucho tiempo en el hotel), pero no estoy seguro.
La frase donde aparece es:
"Kgs of waste to landfill per guest night"
Y mi propuesta es:
Kilogramos de desechos que el hotel arroja al vertedero por cada cliente pasajero.
Me desconcierta tanta explicación para una cosa que seguro debe de ser más sencilla en castellano. Gracias mil a los que se atrevan. // Jorge

3 noches x 2 huéspedes = 6 noches-huesped

Una búsqueda en google con las palabras huésped-noche (consumo, medida, medio ambiente, etc) da muchas respuestas. Suena mejor "huésped y noche", pero parece que la jerga técnica prefiere el guión a la conjunción. Aquí va la definición en inglés, y el sitio dónde aparece:

Definition
A guest night is equivalent to one guest spending one night in an establishment. For example, a motel with 15 guests spending two nights would report provision of 30 guest nights of accommodation.
