Ohne weiteren Kontext ist "local" schwierig zu übersetzen - mitunter bezieht sich der Ausdruck auf das betreffende Land, manchmal aber nur auf einen kleineren Raum. Ich versuche, das Problem mit dem eher allgemeinen "vor Ort" zu umgehen.

Ja, ich weiss. Ist mir aber irgendwie in den Sinn gekommen, weil ich "local" mit "area" verbunden habe. Wie auch immer, ich habe Brigitte zugestimmt, und meine, dass ihre Antwort mit "vor Ort" am Besten passt.

: Bekanntheitsgrade verbessern ja, aber nicht den Ruf, den da würde voraussetzen, dass das Unternehmen in der Region einen schlechten Ruf hat und in verbessern möchte und das steht hier nirgends.

depends on the context: if the company has been active in this market I would say "das seinen Ruf in Ihrer Region weiter ausbauen/verbessern will". If the company is new to this market I'd probably go for "das sich in Ihrer Region einen Namen machen möchte". I'd ignore "local" as I think this is implied in "in your area"

Yes, of course it is important that the global company wants to build its reputation locally but I still think that "its local reputation in your area" is saying the same thing twice - what else could it be but local if its "in your area"

Yes, of course it is important that the global company wants to build its reputation locally but I still think that "its local reputation in your area" is saying the same thing twice - what else could it be but local if its "in your area"

: Since it's about a GOBAL comapny, I think "local" is rather important and should not be ignored, as otherwise it wouldn't be mentioned at all. The point is in how the company is to build its reputation loacally.

"vor Ort" ist zweifellos eine überzeugende Lösung. Die hohe Zustimmung provoziert geradezu zu prüfen, ob es vielleicht noch eine Alternative dazu gibt.
Die meisten globalen Unternehmen entscheiden sich in einem neuen Markt erst einmal für einen Standort. Ob es dann in diesem Markt an weitere Standorte expandiert, hängt vom Erfolg an diesem Standort ab. So verstehe ich "local" hier.

"Standort" ist dabei meiner Erfahrung nach in erster Linie der Markt, also z. B. "Deutschland", oder "Frankfurt".
"Vor Ort" könnte dabei etwas zu einengend verstanden werden, z. B. nur "Frankfurt", obwohl eigentlich "Deutschland" gemeint ist.
