From a response to a call for tender for exhibition services. I have organizer for Veranstalter but can't find anything English-sounding for Messegesellschaft and I'm not sure what they actually do. Trade fair company sounds a little odd to my ears.

trade show organis(z)er
Might suit your purposes.
Note from asker:
We have a Veranstalter and a Messegesellschaft. I'm using organizer for Veranstalter. |

Susan Zimmer
: the organizer is usually the trade association responsible for organizing a show at a certain location...ok, yes, you're right. However the organizer is the trade show management company, not the host in most cases...Igedo/Messe D'dorf

That is usually called a "sponsor", unless this is another of those US/UK things...

: I'd use host for "Veranstalter" and trade fair/show organizer for "Messegesellschaft".See:The Global Assoc. of the Exibition Industry http://www.ufi.org/pages/whatisufi/ufi_mission.asp

I'm sure there are plenty of hits for the organizer, since they do exist...they just have a different function. See my comment above...

Kim, input in google "AUMA" which is the German umbrella organisation of the various trade fair organisations, and have a look what they say ... I have been working for AUMA on several occasions.
See also e.g.
The Munich Trade Fair Company ordered a study on the socio-economic effects of it´s ... The German trade fair association AUMA publishes on a regular basis ...

It seems to me that the terms suggested so far are all fairly interchangeable and will often fit the context.
As trade shows are very often held at exhibition centres it might be easier in this case - to avoid a clash with the term organisers - just to say "exhibition centres" and leave it that. The company that runs the NEC Birmingham is simply called the National Exhibtion Centre plc.

This term is used here in India and as no one has given this answer it must be a local word- but it seems to fit in.

Exhibition Organiser

I know you want to save the "organiser" vor "Veranstalter" but that is the EVENT organiser as opposed to the more generic "exhibition organiser"
The link shows that there is even an association of Exhibition Organisers. I get blurb from thesse people regularly

actually I'm wondering if the Veranstalter is not the exhibitor here
