xlationhouse: I understood, as Sue did as well, the reference to the SO to only be in reference to the pain in the arm. I have no idea what it could be and as no one else seems to either, I will refer the agency to your answer, but with the recommendation that they confirm with the client what the SO is supposed to stand for.
Thanks for your help.

I no longer think my "ultrasound" idea has any merit. But is is correct that the pain is in the upper left arm, but also at the pelvis/hip level and at the sacrum (with bedsores, if I understood right)? Do you think SO refers only to the arm?

more visible/apparent on the orthopedic ultrasound

There are 91 hits for orthopedic ultrasound (sonogramma ortopedica - SO).

I guess since we are talking about the hip, orthopedic might make sense.

(There were something like 2 hits for orthoscopic ultrasound; this doesn't seem likely.)

neutral Dr Sue Levy (X) : I think we're talking about pain in the left arm :-)// I don't know - it's got me stumped! But I think it's referring to when/where the pain is most obvious.

Well, I did have a low confidence level for my answer! But couldn't it still be orthopedic?
