show

in the USA it is a show, and we've got PLENTY of them on TV and off. In Swiss-German we used to call it a Zirkus,
i.e. like your circo, in a derrogative form of course. The same applies for "show" which needs to be put inbetween " = "

circus sideshow

Hi Nora!
Growing up as a child and always a movie buff, I recall that at any Circus---which was the MAIN event, there were always "sideshows" where you could see the "Doctor who Cures All Ills"--with his magic potions; "The Bearded Lady"; the "Two-Headed Man"...etc, etc.

I think "circus sideshow" might be a good term for what you need.

Good Luck!

show/act

In English we also say "It's all an act" for these kinds of false displays.
