Hi. This is what I have thought until a few days ago. If you check the pronunciation you will find Invoice. My doubt now is whther it exixsts or not in 2 different ways and if the verb has a different accent like many other cases. Such as «'accent» and «to a'ccent». Thanks |

In http://www.webster.com/dictionary/invoice trovi un'iconcina che rimanda a un file audio in cui la parola è pronunciata (in BE) chiaramente. Che esista una differenza di significato tra BE e AE, tendo a escluderlo; che esista una differenza di pronuncia, invece, non lo escludo affatto! Basti pensare a "Let's call the all thing off", la canzone che segnalo nel link (certo, sarebbe più comodo poterla ascoltare ma non sono riuscita a trovarla in file audio, almeno non con le parole)... Molto interessante anche il secondo link che ti segnalo, trovato per puro caso, dedicato proprio alle varie pronunce.

Scusa, ma non sarà che il verbo sposta l'accento come in molti altri casi? Tipo 'accent che nella forma verbale diventa to a'ccent ... e tanti altri. grazie ancora |

Gentile Silvia: ho posto la domanda perché per una serie di circostanze verificatesi nel corso di un colloquio è emerso questo dubbio. E come puoi vedere dalle risposte non tutti la pensano come noi. :)
