Italian term

assicurare

Italian to English Marketing Business/Commerce (general)
Context: The role of the new head of the Media Relations division of a financial services company:

Y avra il compito di assicurare la communicazione verso i media nazionali e internazionali di Societa XXX e delle sue controllate.

Y will be tasked with securing/covering (?) communication for XXX and its subsidaries in national and international media.

Any better ideas?!
Thanks

"will be responsible for communicating". To ensure, guarantee, make provision for in English often gives the idea that you have somebody else do it, rather than actually do it yourself, when in Italian it "assicurare" "garantire" "provvedere" simply means you do it yourself. Of course you have to judge. Se il vero senso è "avrà il compito di comunicare verso la media" allora in inglese bisogna essere chiaro. Of course if they outsource the communication with media then ensure is correct.
