Russian term
троллейбусные трали
Russian to English
Other
Transport / Transportation / Shipping
OK, so I can translate the first word, but the second is not so easy. Here is the context, just in case:
В городах старение будет усиливаться, потому что геофизическая среда наполнена полями, - где и телефоны, и троллейбусные трали, и радиопередатчики.
Thanks in advance

: And these poles are named "trolleys" which in Russian were assimilated to "трали" ... also a source of sparkling (EM pollution)

: Sorry Vlad, but I disagree: "tr.poles"(штанги in Russian) make no sense in the context; it should be rather trolley line - контактный провод. Do trolley poles create any el.-magnetic fields? Of course, no; the fields are created by trolley lines

это штанги и они создают помехи (скорее всего) действуя как своеобразные антенны, когда подключены. А так провода - что ж, везде полно разных проводов и без троллейбусных линий...

МАГИСТрали /trolleybus routes
В смысле "провода под напряжением", обслуживающие троллейбусы.

Simon, this is just one more incorrect word usage in your text: trolleybus poles do not create any electromagnetic fields; this is the same as if you would say that a TV power cord creates some electromagnetic field. The field is created not by the poles but by the energized trolleybus lines.
