I'm not fluent in Spanish but I took five years of Latin in highschool in Italy and the word "qua" translated into Italian equals to "la quale" which in Spanish might be "la qual". I hope this helps you a little bit. Good luck!

: "quales" no existe en español, y aún si fuera "cuales", no significa lo mismo que "qua". Según yo, una frase sinónimo posible para "qua" en inglés, puede ser : "insomuch as they are"
