French to English Law/Patents Education / Pedagogy Explanation of Degree Diploma's Validity
On a Bachelors Degree diploma describing where it is valid ( for teaching). Context: "Le present diplome est valable **de plein droit sur** le territoire de la Republique Francaise et, sous reserve des dispositions concernant le droit d'etablissement, y produits tous les effets qui sont attaches au grade et diplome francais..." Would any of you agree with "with full rights in?" Also, what does ** droit d'etablissement ** refer to in this context? Merci beaucoup.

fully valid / right of establishment

This diploma is fully valid in the entire French territory......... I wd say that that adequately describes a situation where a diploma is 100% valid for teaching purposes....to translate very literally doesn't achive anything except a Franglais effect:-)

As for droit d'etablissement, they seem to be referring to a person's 'right of establishment' to practice a profession

I'm not a FR-EN translator, but I 'know' FR to read and have translated lost of diplomas from ES/PT:-)

Thank you Femme, the lack of 'confidence' is due to the fact that I don't translate professionally from FR to EN, that's all:-)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Hi, Lia, Why didn't you have more confidence in your translation? "Fully valid" fits in perfectly with the context. And thanks for clearing up my question about "etablissement." You confirmed my thoughts on the matter. Je vous remericie beaucoup, femme"
