I think that pretty much sums up the way these diaphragms are held --- I know about mics, just not FR!

I have Robert & Collins on my side too!

to clamp > serrer, attacher

(the latter might work too, but sounds less right to my ears)

I did also wonder about 'pincer', as in effect the edge of the diaphragm is 'gripped' by the clamp ring
