Hosting account suspended due to membership expiration, but need to transfer domain name Thread poster: Triston Goodwin

Hi! My Proz membership just expired so my website and everything went down. I'm planning to renew, but I still want to transfer my site to a new hosting provider. The problem that I'm having now is that it's still showing that my domain is locked here on Proz, even though I've unlocked it in the admin panel. Do I just need to wait a certain amount of time for something to update? I'm trying to transfer to Hostgator.com if that makes any difference. Thanks... See more Hi! Hello Triston, Even when your hosting account is suspended due to membership expiration, you should be able to access the "manage my domains" section at http://www.proz.com/?sp=host/info . From this section--under "domain extras"-- you can get the authorization code you need to transfer your domain name. Just make sure you set it to be unlocked. Hope it helps. Kind... Hi, Ok, I set the page to unlocked and I have the domain auth. code, but it's the new hosting site is still saying that the page is locked and cannot be transferred. Hello - I seem to be having the same problem. I have unlocked the domain and I have the authentication code, but my new hosting says it is still locked (cannot transfer this domain). Any idea? Thank you Chris | |

Any idea? Thank you Chris Hi Chris, Changes to domains are not instant, so it is possible that it takes a few hours for your domain to be unlocked (sometimes even 24-48 hours). Please let me know how it goes. Kind regards, Lucia | | | Triston Goodwin United States Local time: 13:37 Spanish to English + ... TOPIC STARTER
