Off topic: Browniz and kudoz

This may be hidden somewhere in the R & Rs, but ...why do Browniz have more value to Proz than Kudoz?
When thera are incentives to purchase, there is a discount using Browniz, but not for Kudoz.
Can someone remind me how one can earn Browniz and Kudoz points.
