Whenever I agree with an answer I get the words (edit / delete) next to my name.
An (x) also appears when I enter the words 'thanks'or 'gracias xxx'.
Could anyone please tell me why this is so?

This feature allows you to edit your comments. You might want to change your comment next to your 'agree' - if you entered 'thanks' you might want to add a helpful reference, for example. You can even delete your agree if, for example, you later see that another answer is better.

should you see that perhaps the suggestion by the member turned out to be the right one for the context
