The Proz Forums serve an important purpose in providing help to users of translation software and other linguistic issues. In order to be able to provide help in a fast and expedient manner (since we all live around the world and time zones and deadlines can become a challenge in this way), I would like to propose the following:

When there is an issue, kindly provide the following information:

1. Which version of across you are using, because even in Service packs there are different letters appended and for example SP3b had issues that got fixed in SP3c.

2. If it is your installation or a package received from a client (LSP or other). That is an important one, because the solution can be very different for the same problem and the only differentiator is the fact that one is a local installation and the other a file received from a client.

3. A description of the issue.


The more detail the better.
