Qualified as a medical doctor, I have also worked as a presenter, newsreader, editor and programme designer on TV and radio in the Middle East. I have translated websites, cultural projects, literary texts and commercial material. I passed the Institute of Linguists, UK, Diploma with distinctions in law and literature and merit in general translation. I am married to the novelist Robin Yassin-Kassab. I use him as a resource, as well as my specialist dictionaries and translation contacts.
