I was born in Italy but lived a good part of my childhood and half of
my adult life in London, where I also completed my studies and graduated to
pursue a career in the tourism and hospitality industry. I worked for 5* Deluxe
hotels as a Sales & Marketing professional in London and in Italy. The
creation of multilingual content for brochures, marketing tools, and websites was
one of my favourite tasks. Right after my graduation and soon after landing my
first job in a 5* Hotel in London, my passion for communication and languages led
me to start a side hustle, offering my translation services to both individuals
and companies. I also started classes and taught Italian language to
expats and their families (mainly American and British nationals). I returned to Italy in 2007, and
since then my translation job has gradually become my primary occupation. I
have always believed that words are very powerful. I don’t think of them as interchangeable.
There is always that one word that is exactly the right one to convey that specific
meaning. I consistently cultivate my vocabulary and train my skills to offer
precise yet not ordinary translation and transcreations.
